American Canoe Adventures
We are the premier canoe outfitters on the upper Suwannee River. We offer 213 miles of canoeing and kayaking, including the Big Shoals, Florida's only Class III white water rapids. With our knowledgeable staff, we can help you and your group plan and prepare for your trip. We cater to your adventure. We will customize the trip of your choice, to and from any location on the river. Reservations are recommended to serve you better. For more information, please call 386.397.1309. The swamp (the headwaters of the Suwannee River) received 2 and ½ inches of rain last weekend and the river levels are up. We are able to put in at Stephen C. Foster State Park in the swamp and paddle all the way to White Springs. You can cross the Suwannee River Sill (re-opened Feb 21) with a free sill-crossing permit from the park office. You can also make use of the new boat ramp at the Suwannee River Sill without any need of a sill-crossing permit. You will need a refuge parking pass for both of these launches.
We are beginning to take reservations for this years River Run on Memorial Day Weekend.
